Irving (Washington) School (first) is built.

Architect: Arthur Vinal. Named for the author, the school is located at 110 Poplar Street. An addition by Sturgis Associates is subsequently built. A new school (second) is built on Cummins Highway in 1935,* and the original buildings become Roslindale High School in 1936.*
